JM founder, Jonathan Patton, was recently invited to the Student Career Expo at the Mid America Center. It was the 3rd annual expo, and he spoke on entrepreneurialism and job opportunities in the Information Technology industry.
Here are some of Jonathan’s thoughts:
“It went very well actually. I’m exhausted though. It was four back to back presentations (with 5 minute breaks in between) and I’ve been up since 2:00am, since I wasn’t able to sleep due to being nervous (like I always do when speaking). I introduced myself to 400+ kids and then had about an attendance of 30-40 kids each session. I thought the presentations I did went well.”
Celebrate Catering is a growing company that needed a new online presence to communicate more accurately who they are. Since they are considered an atypical company in the catering market – one that specializes in custom and/or homemade recipes – JM really wanted to help them create their own unique niche market.
JM Web Designs’ most recent launch is special because it is the second web site we’ve created for Omaha’s Hair Choice. As they already were a current client, we had a distinct advantage in that JM and OHC already have a long term, close working relationship, thus making the effort much more enjoyable and the outcome significantly more powerful.
JM Web Designs is excited to unveil this web site – the greater the challenge, the more satisfying it is when we overcome it. The issue with Sarpy County (as is with most larger institutions) is that there is so much information to convey to the public, the web site can very easily grow too large and become impossible to navigate. There is no such problem with Sarpy County’s new site.
JM Web Designs was recently published in the Omaha Chamber‘s 2009 “Extraordinary Opportunities” magazine, highlighting owner Jonathan Patton’s journey as its founder and the case study about JM published by Microsoft. The magazine is sent out to companies around the world to show that Omaha is a great location to have a business.
JM Web Designs is proud to announce that it has joined with the board of Social Impact Forum Omaha (SIFO) and their efforts to create and initiate Omaha’s first ever Social Impact Conference. JM’s marketing director, Phil Stalnaker, has been working with the group as an advisor and working partner since June of 2009, and is excited to be a part of this growing concern for community change in the Omaha area.
Making a website for a company that doesn’t yet have a physical presence was challenging, yet exciting. Our communication process with the client was vital, considering the entire site design was based on nothing more than ideas and a vision. Yet with focus and ingenuity, JM Web Designs is excited to unveil The Towers of Village Pointe and their brand new web site.
International Gamco, Inc is North America’s premier manufacturer of pull-tab tickets. Incorporated in 1983, Gamco is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska with regional sales offices located throughout the United States. They came to JM Web Designs looking to showcase their professionalism through their web site, which required giving it a full makeover. We worked collaboratively to create an appealing website to and add the ability for Gamco to make their own updates.
JM is excited to announce that we are starting a web site project with the Nebraska Film Association [NFA] – an organized group of arts supporters, business leaders, specialized workers in the film industry, independent skilled professionals and others working to promote incentives for the film industry in Nebraska, thus bringing more money into the state – that will help to promote the group and their cause.
Phil Stalnaker was recently appointed as President of his local Business Networking International [BNI] Chapter, Network Connections. Since joining the chapter in October of 2008, he has shown advanced leadership through superior performance, high commitment to attendance, and a marked desire to go above and beyond his expectations.
